We, the ROMANIAN owners of gaming consoles, related products and services offered by MICROSOFT CORPORATION, SONY CORPORATION and NINTENDO, as full rights members of EUROPEAN UNION and users of the products and services you sold us, we kindly plead you to consider our petition for enabling full online services and support for ROMANIA. Through this document, we would like to request to be treated according to the EUROPEAN UNION laws, as equals in rights with all the other member countries where these services are available.
The products named here as MICROSOFT XBOX 360, SONY PLAYSTATION 3 and NINTENDO WII you sold us and are still selling in ROMANIA, like in any other European country, come with no warnings that the products bought have no support at all in our country. Hello,
I bought a XBOX 360 on 26 Ian 2008 from Romania and I want to join to the Xbox360 Live community. I am not able to do this because my country is not listed in the country list. If I choose another country a get an invalid postal code error…
Please let me know what should I do, or if you can create my account manually. I really want to play on xbox live and to benefit from it’s services because this was one of the reasons for what i bought this console.

I’m really sorry that you’re having a problem on your Xbox console. I understand that you want to sign up on Xbox Live service but your country is not listed. With regards to this issue, you may contact our phone support lines to assist you appropriately. Thus, here are some information on how to sign up for Xbox Live service. You have to sign up for Xbox Live to play Xbox Live games.
You can purchase your Xbox Live Starter Kit in retail stores. It includes an Xbox Communicator, a game disc that includes the Xbox Dashboard update, and a subscription code. During the signup process, you are prompted to enter the subscription code to enable your one-year subscription.
Recent versions of the Xbox console include the Xbox Live option in the Dashboard. Earlier versions require an update. The disc that is included with the Xbox Live Startup Kit includes this update. This update is also included with any game disc that supports Xbox Live. To update the Xbox Dashboard by using the Xbox Livedisc, follow these steps:
1. Start the Xbox console with the Xbox Livedisc in the disc tray.
2. When you are prompted to update the Dashboard, press the A button to continue. This updates the Dashboard, and then restarts the Xbox console with the online functionality enabled.
3. Sign up for the Xbox Live service by selecting Xbox Livein the Xbox Dashboard.
Important If you do not have an e-mail address, make sure that you obtain one before you continue. Critical subscription information about renewals and maintenance are sent to your e-mail address. Contact your broadband provider to set up an e-mail address or to determine what your e-mail address is if you just do not know. You can also visit a local library to set up an e-mail address if the library has Internet access.
After you have signed up, you can play online with friends as long as both of you are playing on the same Xbox console and your friend is using a guest account. If your friends want to play against you online from another Xbox console, they must sign up for an Xbox Live account.

Hello again,
As I told you in the previous email, I bought the XBOX 360 console a few days ago so it has the Xbox Live option in the Dashboard. I just want to create an account on Xbox Live and to benefit from the one month free gold member offer like anyone else that bought the console. If it’s necessary I will mail you my personal information so you can create the account instead of me.
I know I repeat myself, but I am from Romania and my country is not listed in the country list when I try to sign up for a Xbox Live account account. Plese help me and don’t ask me do make calls to United States ore anywhere else because I cannot afford it. I paid about 560$ on this console and I want to be able to use it fully.

Hello again,
When I purchased my Xbox 360 I paid the same amount as anybody else. There was no warning that I will not be able to use it from Romania on Xbox Live. That’s not fair. I just want to be able to use what I paid for I’m not asking you to do me a favor. Why are you lying to us when you sell this consoles?
Please do what it has to be done and let me use the services that I paid for.

Am primit ieri consola !
Credeam ca totusi o pot face sa mearga pe LIVE , dar stupoare ……..!!!! O consola ca toate celelalte tinand cont ca farmecul ei era tocmai acest XBOX LIVE !! Devine frustrant faptul ca suntem RO oare ?
